21st World Scout Jamboree |
Application forms are now available for participants for the 2007 World Jamboree at Hylands Park in Essex. The good news is that Vale of Mowbray has been allocated 2 places on the North Yorkshire Contingent.
This will be a ‘Once in a Lifetime’ opportunity for participants.
Participants should be aged between 14 and 18 on the start date of the Jamboree (ie be born between 28/07/1989 and 27/07/1993). Application forms will be sent to Scout and Explorer Leaders, but these will soon be available on the county website (www.nys.org.uk) under ‘Jamboree’ (www.jamboree.nys.org.uk).
If you are interested, ask your leaders for the application forms and additional information. All applications will need to be in by 8 January 2006. If there are more than 2 applicants from the district, there will be a selection process which may involve a residential weekend.
