Do you want to go to the World Jamboree?

Scouting 2007

In 2007 it is the Centenary of Scouting. 100 years will have passed since Baden-Powell ran the very first camp on Brownsea Island. There will be 12 months of celebrations across the World and the UK, including the 21st World Scout Jamboree in Essex and a sunrise celebration on 1st August.

We are currently looking to select a Scout to represent the District at the World Scout Jamboree, you will need to be between the ages of 14 and 17 inclusive on the first day of the camp. If you are interested you should talk to your Scout/Explorer Leader.

Please check back here soon and we will let you know what we are planning for the Vale of Mowbray during this exciting year.

Applications are now open for Scouts and Explorers to go to the World Jamboree in 2007. Click here for info
