Vale of Mowbray Explorer Scout UnitAerial Extreme |
The Vale of Mowbray Explorer Scout Unit tried out a new adventure course recently. The recently opened Aerial Extreme facility is situated at Camphill, near Bedale in North Yorkshire. The facility is a Tree Top Adventure Course, which has participant travelling over a wide area, in the forest canopy.
The course starts off with some safety training and rigging out in the correct gear. Then it’s off into the trees, gradually getting higher and higher. There are Rope bridges cross, scramble nets to negotiate, Zip wires for exhilarating speed and finally a fan drop of about 50 feet to finish with. This was adventure, which everybody enjoyed and one, which we would recommend to all groups of Explorer Scouts.
