1. Please note that a First Response Course is scheduled to run on Saturday 9th April. Please let us know if you would like to attend.
2. Over £50 has been raised for the District's Tsunami Appeal at the Cub Scout Quiz with an Easter Egg Raffle.
3. Hillside Cub Scout Pack won the District Cub Quiz Trophy. The competition was close behind with very few points between the teams. Teams were present from Thirsk, Topcliffe and Hillside Cub Scout Packs. Thank you very much to Iris and all who helped organise the evening, and also to everyone for turning up in spite of the snow.
4. Please can leaders note that Leader Training Dates are now available on the County website (Click the Adult Training logo at the top) of the homepage.
5. Thank you to Eric Campbell and Martin Renton for running a very successful "Backwoods cooking" base at the recent County Day at Thirsk School. Leaders were able to cook chicken stew, sausages in cougettes, eggs in potatoes, and chocolate in bananas, while sampling scones cooked in an oil can ovan. Meanwhile Neville Kirby was keeping cool with an archery base out on the school playing fields!!
